An Unforgettable Moment with Pandora

In my last post (see here) I told you that I had won a Pandora bracelet during the raffle draw at a Sheraton Abuja event , but what I didn’t tell you guys was the ‘almost divine’ moments surrounding the win.
Firstly, I want to point out that I am very happy to finally own a Pandora bracelet (ever since I saw the Demi Moore/Miley Cyrus Pandora moment in the movie LOL I have subconsciously wanted one) and I do a little happy dance every time I think about it.

Putting a Pandora charm bracelet together can be expensive but they are so beautiful!

But my happiness doesn’t stem only from the fact that I love the Pandora brand but also from the story of how I won.
You see… they say that to become a successful Entrepreneur you must have great instincts and towards the end of March I started making the conscious effort to listen to my instincts. I started making decisions simply because i felt an inner push in a particular direction but, frankly, I didn't see any obvious good that came out of that – until last week Thursday

When I got to the venue of Sheratons Exclusive event we were asked to drop our contact details into a bowl as we were entering the event. I usually don’t like dropping my contact details at events (because I don’t like being bugged with calls, sms and emails) but I felt the inner nudge to do so, so I did.

During the event they gave out goodie bags. There were two sets of goodie bags, the Pandora goodie bag (which comprised of a Pandora jewelry tray, a Pandora journal, and Pandora pocket mirror) and a Sheraton goodie bag (which comprised of a Naij.com t-shirt, a Dach Candles candle and discount vouchers to some beauty spots in Abuja). I really hoped to get the Pandora gift bag but was given the Sheraton one.
I was gutted, but when they started a raffle draw for those who dropped contact cards (thank God i dropped mine) which included the Pandora goodie bags in the draw,  my hopes of getting a goodie bag came up again… and were dashed again when all the Pandora gift bags were won by other people. I was sad and I decided to go home. It was getting dark anyway

“But the raffle is still on” said my instincts
“Yes, but they don’t have anything I want” I replied. I honestly didnt want anyother thing in the draw.
“Don’t go” the instinct insisted
I waited 20 mins… more names were being picked but none was mine
“The chance of me even winning anything  is so low anyway" i said impatiently "Abeg, I am done with this”
I packed up, said my good bye’s and started leaving
The instinct kept nudging me to stay… and when I got to the front door of the hotel I gave into it and went back to the venue of the event.
I stood by the door and, luckily, I struck up a conversation with a lady standing there too (I am sure I would have left again if not for that convo). I was chatting with her when my name was called.
What?!! How possible?.
I was in shock
And what did I win? A Pandora bracelet!!!
WHAT?!! It seemed like magic to me and I screamed like someone who had won a car, a house or even 10 million naira (hopefully no one caught that on video)

Like I said, I have always loved the brand (especially the charm bracelet) but have never gotten around to owning one, in fact I was only interested in attending the event because I saw Pandora was a partner, so it was surreal to me that I actually won. If I had left, and they picked another name for the prize i think i would have pulled my hair out.

I got a Pandora Bracelet with two clips worth N40,900. I will have to buy myself charms at major events in my life

I was very happy… and grateful to myself for listening to my instinct, I shall be doing more of that from now on.

I chose the Bursting Sun and Bursting Flower clips because they signify where i am heading to in life. To light and happiness

And guess what? When i went to pick up the bracelet I WAS GIVEN THE GOODIE BAG AS WELL (you need to see my dancing in action).

:D

I worked with my instincts and won something i have always wanted in return... this is truly an unforgettable moment for me. And to experience it with a brand that represents unforgettable moments? well... that is just priceless.

Have a great week my darlings and don't forget to listen to your instincts

  1. Nice one. We should strive to follow our instincts more often even though it could sometimes seem like a daunting task.
